Refugees? Humans!

Project: Escape and Asylum

DOMiD deals with the themes escape and asylum as current forms of migration history. In the current project "Refugees? Humans!", humanity is at the center of attention. Eva Biederer, with DOMiD, has been focusing upon this topic on a community level, since May of 2015. She has collected interviews with refugees and documented their stories. In so doing, she put humanity in the center of her work, and further developed the photos and interviews into short biographies. She has succeeded in documenting the everyday life of refugees in Ludwigshafen.

This project will continue until the end of September.  As a champion of a culture of "welcome" for refugees, and a supporter of the initiative #türauf, DOMiD holds this project dear to its heart.
