In April 2012, DOMiD hosted a discussion of the latest developments in the musealization of migration. Members of the academic, museum and archival communities were in attendance. The conference, titled "Where We Stand" ("Stand der Dinge"), took place at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum in Cologne.
